Sugar cane...as far as the eye can see!

Just to the east of where we live are massive sugar cane fields.  This day when we passed by, they were harvesting the cane.  Oxen are still used in the fields and the cane is cut with machete's by hand.

This is an area that I call our 'tennis ball ministry'!  This area is mostly Haitian.  I always toss tennis balls to the children when we pass through the batey.  Even the adult's are excited to catch some!
